Celebrating Black Makers

  • Goat Haus Biergarten 532 Clay Street Montgomery, AL United States (map)

Black History Month causes us to reflect on our past; on those who fought, suffered, and triumphed for Civil Rights, slavery abolition, and the equal pursuit of happiness. We honor our elders and their sacrifice. But, we also honor those leaders of today. In Montgomery, the heart of the Civil Rights Movement, we have leaders who fight for their community every day. It's time to celebrate them, too.

Join us for "Celebrating Black Makers" on Wednesday, February 27 from 6-8 pm at the Biergarten. We'll have performances from Jonathon Peterson, Michelle Browder; and a panel discussion from community leaders: Shakita Brooks Jones, Kynesha Brown, and Jaylan Haley. Come ready to celebrate our present, reflect on our past, and connect with one another as we bring Black History Month 2019 to an end. See you there!
